Say hello to One Nation, my newest pattern release! One Nation combines stars and stripes for a fun way to use your favorite patriotic fabrics! I love patriotic fabrics and creating this quilt was a fun way to use them!
For this pattern, I used the traditional Sawtooth Star quilt block in three different sizes. The centers of the stars are shown here as pieced four patch blocks, but the pattern also includes instructions to make these centers as a solid square without piecing. I wrote the pattern to use fat quarters for the stars, but scraps would work just as well.
For this quilt I used Moda's fabric line Old Glory designed by Lella Boutique. I love that it includes traditional motifs as well as florals in each colorway.
The pattern includes instructions for the flying geese units used in the star blocks and it also includes a QR code that can be scanned for an in-depth tutorial on making flying geese.
One Nation is available as a PDF digital download here and as a printed pattern here.
Until next time, happy quilting!
