  Island Batik Its All Up to You December Challenge - Gemstones Quilt

  For December, the Ambassadors could make anything we wanted! Any size, any theme, any technique. For inspiration, I opened my fabric closet and pulled out the remaining fabric received in my Ambassador Boxes this year that I hadn't used. My eyes lit on the beautiful stack from the Under the Sea collection. Since I had 10" fabric squares to work with, I considered a few different designs that would show off this beautiful fabric. I settled on Square-in-a-Square blocks using Quarter Square Triangles for the center.

  Timeless Traditions Blog Hop

  For the November Blog Hop, the Ambassadors were challenged to make a quilt using at least five of the following traditional quilt blocks: Four Patch, Nine Patch, Half Square Triangle, Quarter Square Triangle, Friendship Star, Flying Geese, Variable Star, Ohio Star, Nine Patch Chain, Pinwheel Mosaic.

  We could use these blocks in any combination or size we wanted. I chose the five blocks shown below - Nine Patch Chain, Nine Patch, Ohio Star, Quarter Square Triangle and Half Square Triangle.

  Sew Stylish Challenge with Patterns By Annie

  The October Ambassador challenge was to make a bag of our choice using a pattern from ByAnnie.com. Several months ago, we chose the pattern we wanted to make and the fabric we wanted to use. ByAnnie.com generously sent us not only the pattern of our choice, but all the necessary notions and hardware as well. Island Batik generously provided the fabric of our choice, in the appropriate amounts for our chosen pattern.
