The October Ambassador challenge was to make a bag of our choice using a pattern from ByAnnie.com. Several months ago, we chose the pattern we wanted to make and the fabric we wanted to use. ByAnnie.com generously sent us not only the pattern of our choice, but all the necessary notions and hardware as well. Island Batik generously provided the fabric of our choice, in the appropriate amounts for our chosen pattern.

For September, the Island Batik Ambassadors are participating in the Threaded Chaos Blog Hop with Aurifil! We were to create a Crazy Quilt in a crib size or larger. Aurifil generously supplied us with four spools of thread in whatever colors we chose to match our assigned fabric collection.My assigned collection is Berry Crush, designed by Jerry Khiev for Curlique Creations. I was thrilled to work with Berry Crush because I LOVE using purple and pink together. This fabric collection is just gorgeous!

For August, the Island Batik Ambassadors are participating in the Hot Stuff Challenge with Oliso. For this challenge, we were to "glitz-up" the carry bag we received with our Oliso M3 Pro iron. We could use any technique we wanted (quilting, embroidery, applique, etc.).I have to admit, this one had me stumped! I pondered what to do for quite awhile before I decided on applique. For inspiration, I pulled all the gorgeous fabrics I had received from Island Batik this year in my Ambassador boxes.
