Steppin' Up - New Pattern Release for Layer Cakes or Fat Quarters

Steppin Up Quilt Pattern

Introducing Steppin' Up, my latest pattern release!

I absolutely love watercolor fabrics! Whenever I see these new fabric lines come out I am torn because I never want to cut them! These gorgeous fabrics always make me think of large-block quilts.

The release of Create Joy Project's latest fabric line, Floribunda, had me dreaming of big-block quilt to show off these luscious prints, which is why I created the Steppin' Up quilt pattern.

Steppin' Up is a perfect pattern for when you are short on time as it can be made in one weekend! It's also perfect for beginners as there are no seams to match, so the piecing goes quickly.

With its large blocks, its also the perfect pattern for those focus prints that you just don't want to cut! It's great way to showcase a fabric line or to emphasize a special fabric in a theme quilt.

For the background, I used Grunge White Paper from Moda. I love the depth the Grunge fabrics give a quilt, especially for a background fabric.

The pattern is written for 10 inch squares (layer cakes) or fat quarters, but yardage can be used as well, the pattern includes requirements for all three.

Steppin' Up is available as a PDF (digital download) here - Or as a printed pattern here.

I hope you enjoy this fun and easy project!
