In the midst of the busy holiday season, I am happy to announce I was able to publish two new digital quilt patterns for pre-cuts this month!
The first, Hidden Charms uses two charm packs plus background fabric to make a 54" X 63" throw quilt. For this quilt, I chose charm packs from the Tulip Tango fabric line by Robin Pickens. I am a big fan of Robin's designs and have made many quilts from her fabrics. For the background, I chose cream from the Thatched fabric line also by Robin Pickens. I love the Thatched fabrics because they are so versatile and make the perfect blenders for just about any project. I currently carry both Thatched cream and Pansy's Posies Cream Thatched Dot fabric in my shop.
Hidden Charms is a fun quilt to make because it goes together quickly and can be made to look modern or traditional, depending on your fabric choices. As with most quilters, I am always looking for ways to use those charm packs from my stash!
The second quilt pattern is Stair Steppin. This pattern uses fat quarters for the focus fabric and yardage for the background fabric. I have included four size options (baby/crib, throw, twin, full/queen) to make this a very versatile pattern. The use of fat quarters simplifies cutting process and the strip piecing technique speeds the piecing process so this quilt goes together quickly, no matter your size preferance.
For Stair Steppin, I chose focus fabrics from the Create fabric line by Alli K Designs and Wilmington Essentials Red Scroll fabric for the background. I love using black and white fabrics because they can be "dressed up" with any accent color or "toned down" for a more neutral effect.
Both these patterns were fun to make! They are suitable for any level quilter and are available as digital downloads at the above links, as printed patterns here, or from the product listings below.
