October was a busy month, I published three new PDF Christmas patterns! That wasn’t my original plan, but I just couldn’t stop myself! I had fallen in love with the new Christmas fabric line Peppermint Bark from BasicGrey. This fabric line is so pretty! I love it because is a little bit "modern", but still has traditional colors, which I love for Christmas.

First came the Christmas Wreath table topper, which led to the Christmas Wreath table runner. I ended up publishing them together as one pattern, Christmas Wreath Table Topper and Runner Pattern. I made the topper on a larger scale, and the block size smaller in the runner, making for a more versatile and challenging pattern.

While looking at the huge tub of Christmas fabrics strewn about my studio, I just had to conjure up something else…. which resulted in Christmas Tree Lane, this adorable Christmas Tree table runner. Using more of the Peppermint Bark fabric, I opted for Christmas tree wedges joined together for the center of the runner, with tree trunks interspensed along the border. I made three versions, two from the Peppermint Bark fabric and one out of some batik Christmas fabric. All came out beautifully.

Not yet feeling “finished”, I toyed with several candy cane blocks and came up with the Candy Cane Lane table runner pattern. It took three attempts to find the right fabric combo…the first two just didn’t “pop” enough…

Third times a charm! The green background really helped the candy canes to "pop". I still used the Peppermint Bark fabrics for the border, sashing and binding though!

At this point, I was “Christmas-patterned out”. These three patterns are now available as instant downloads in the Digital Holiday Table Decor Patterns section, as printed patterns here, or from the product listings below.
